Delete Your Data

Delete from inside the app

This is the fastest route and takes effect immediately.

• Open the app and go to Settings → Profile
• Tap Delete Account
• Confirm when prompted

Deleting your account here removes your login and personal data as described below. You do not need to contact us first.

Request deletion by email

If you can no longer sign in — for example you have uninstalled the app or lost access to your email — write to [email protected] from the address associated with your account, with the subject “Delete my data”.

We may ask you to confirm a detail that only the account holder would know, so that nobody can delete someone else’s data. We respond within 30 days, and usually far sooner.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account removes the data we hold about you, including:

• Your authentication credentials and login — the account itself is permanently removed
• Your profile details: name, and any optional information you chose to provide
• Everything you wrote in the app: journal and reflection responses, Mirror and Shadow conversations, saved responses, commitments, and custom affirmations
• Your practice history: affirmation responses, emotion selections, streaks, and session activity
• Your push notification tokens, so notifications stop

What is kept, and for how long

We are open about the few things that do not disappear the instant you press delete:

• A short-lived safety backup. Your data is copied to a private, restricted backup at the moment of deletion, so that an accidental or fraudulent deletion can be reversed. This backup is automatically and permanently destroyed after 30 days.
• Diagnostic AI records. Records of AI generation, which can include the text of prompts and responses, are automatically deleted within 7 days.
• Anonymised data. Aggregated or anonymised statistics that cannot identify you may be retained to improve the app.
• Records we are legally required to keep. Purchase and tax records are retained where UK law requires it. Payments are handled by Apple and Google — we never hold your card details.

Content you posted to the community feedback board is visible to other signed-in users while it is live. Tell us if you would like such posts removed as part of your deletion request.

Export your data first

If you would like a copy before deleting, use Settings → Export My Data in the app to download your data in a machine-readable format. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone once the 30-day backup window has passed.
